Nothing should be carried alone.

    Loneliness

In a world where connections can feel distant and fragile, it's so very easy to feel alone. Together, we can both carry what matters to you and explore ways to build relationships and community.

  • sad, stressed, man in front of window

    Grief

Losing someone or something that matters to us can leave us feeling out of control, uncertain, directionless, and lost. In our sessions, we'll honor your loss and work through any feeling that comes up.

    Transitions

Life transitions, whether chosen or unexpected, can disrupt our sense of stability and identity. We'll navigate these changes together, building resilience and a path forward that makes you feel full.

    Identity

Understanding and embracing our true self can be both challenging and liberating. We'll create a space to explore and affirm what makes you feel like you, empowering you to live authentically and fully.

My place is to give you a helping hand if you want it and a listening ear if you need it,

to ensure that you always have someone that is by your side.

Hello! I’m Marcus,

and I believe nothing is meant to be carried alone. There is so much to handle in life, and often, we just need someone to tell about it, or someone to give us a helping hand. When everything has gone wrong, we feel an ache to tell someone how hard it’s been. When we succeed, we want someone to share that excitement with. It is my belief that no matter what someone is going through, big or small, they shouldn’t have to do it alone.

There was a time when grief brought me so low I couldn’t make myself a simple meal. I skipped eating for days because the challenge of cooking myself dinner amid such intense grief was insurmountable. There was no one for me to call, I didn’t have someone who could come over and hold my hand, and all I wanted was for someone to sit with me while I did what seemed to be an incredibly simple task.

And so, I am here for you. To listen to all the chaos, cheer for all of the wins, to help you finally schedule that doctors appointment, or cook that dinner that’s just felt too overwhelming. Whatever it is, it’s ours to carry together.

Book a no-cost introduction session

I offer a 20-minute introduction session to give you the time to share what life has been like and to discuss how I can help. This session is an opportunity to ask questions, expresses challenges, and decide how you would like to work through it all together.

Why Peer Support Spacing?

There is a growing recognition of the need for supplementary non-clinical support systems. Many individuals grappling with the stresses of daily life seek spaces where they can share their experiences without the stigma or pathologization that can sometimes accompany traditional mental health care.

Peer Support Spacing allows you to foster positive connection. It provides a space where you can experience the warmth of companionship and the relief of understanding. You are given the space and support to navigate community and mental health resources, talk through heavy emotions, vent about tough times, make a path to getting basic needs met, plan for you future, get help finding what matters to you, and whatever else feels important; all alongside another person.

What to expect

We can begin with a 20-minute introduction session, over the phone or video call, giving us a chance to meet. We’ll get to know each other and begin building how we can best work together to help you find community, comfort, and space to be yourself without judgement.

Once we’ve established a connection, we can find out how you’d like to be spending our sessions together and how often you’d like to meet. I recommend meeting weekly at first to establish a pattern and familiarity, but we can find whatever frequency works best for you.

In the space we make together you’ll have:

  • Online 60-minute sessions at a time that works for you

  • An opportunity to laugh, mourn, and dream about the future with someone who cares.

  • A consistent advocate to validate your experiences, help you overcome obstacles, and someone to work on goals alongside without pressure or expectation.

  • Unconditional understanding and acceptance for all your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
